Man arrested as part of investigation into harassment of Taoiseach Simon Harris
Gardai arrested a man, aged in his 30s, on Tuesday as part of ongoing investigations into the harassment of the Taoiseach at his family home in Greystones
A man has been arrested in connection with an ongoing investigation into the harassment of Taoiseach Simon Harris at his home earlier this year. Multiple people have been arrested since May.
Images posted on social media during the summer showed people gathered outside the home of the Fine Gael leader carrying banners with anti-immigration messages.
Gardaí arrested a man, aged in his 30s, on Tuesday as part of ongoing investigations into the harassment of the Taoiseach at his family home in Greystones, which he shares with his wife Caoimhe and his two young children Saoirse and Cillian.

The man was detained in a Wicklow Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, but was subsequently released.
A Garda spokesperson said: “On Tuesday, 1 October, Gardaí arrested a further individual for alleged offences contrary to the Non-Fatal Offences against the Person Act, as part of ongoing investigations into the alleged harassment of an elected representative on 2 May.
“The man (30s) who was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda Station in Wicklow has since been released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.”
Gardaí confirmed that investigations into the alleged harassment of Taoiseach Simon Harris are ongoing.
This was the latest arrest as part of the Garda investigation into the incident since a woman, aged in her 50s, was arrested and also later released by officers.
