Aaron Rodgers, the New York Jets quarterback, shrugged off injury concerns after appearing to limp during the fourth quarter against the Denver Broncos. He had a tough game in a narrow 10-9 defeat and admitted: "Yeah, I'm banged up a little bit" - but insisted he avoided any serious damage.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh was also quick to quell any injury fears regarding Rodger s, who saw his first season with the team ended by a torn Achiiles just four snaps into the 2023 season. Saleh put it down to normal wear and tear and confirmed that Rodgers is fine.

However, Saleh did highlight a problem with the team's offense. He pointing out Rodgers' cadence as a contributing factor to the false start penalties plaguing the team on a tough afternoon.

Skeptical Jets fans, however, aren't entirely convinced by the official line on Rodgers' condition, with many suggesting that their own observations tell a different story. Social media buzzed with comments like "Is Aaron Rodgers okay? Looks like he isn't," from concerned NFL enthusiasts.

The injury alarm bells rang loudest in the dying minutes of the fourth quarter when Rodgers was seen hobbling post-sack for a six-yard loss. The heavy hit was delivered by Denver's 246-pound linebacker Jonah Elliss and 290-pound defensive tackle Malcolm Roach.

Initially thought to be a fumble, the play was later adjudged as Rodgers being down by contact. Despite the pressure, Rodgers ended the game with 225 passing yards, having been compelled to attempt 42 throws.

Rodgers found himself under siege throughout the game, with the Jets offensive line conceding five sacks. The Jets did muster up 248 yards on offense, edging out Denver's 186, yet it wasn't enough to secure victory.

Reflecting on the team's performance, coach Saleh remarked, "We had a great week of prep. Felt great energy pregame and even at halftime," before conceding, "The reality is it was going to be tough sledding no matter what because of the rain. What was disappointing was the self inflicted wounds."

The defeat leaves the Jets with a 2-2 overall record, sitting below the undefeated Buffalo Bills in the AFC East, who are set to face the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football. The Jets are due to play against the unbeaten Minnesota Vikings on Oct.6, with initial expectations for Rodgers to participate.
