Emerging Ireland have called up Ireland U20 and Leinster Academy loosehead prop Alex Usmanov to replace Jordan Duggan who has been ruled out of the tour to South Africa.

Usmanov, who had yet to make his Leinster debut, is a product of Malahide RFC's under-age section, been part of Clontarf's AIL squad and made five appearances for Ireland U20s last season.

Currently 19 years-of age, he started four of the 2023/24 U20 Six Nations game, the wins against France, Italy, Wales and Scotland while he was a sub and played the last half-hour in the drawn game with England.
