Brad Pitt, 60, mocked as he's accused of copying style of huge star who's half his age
Hollywood actor Brad Pitt has been accused of copying the fashion choices of singer Harry Styles as he continues to debut his brand new look amid bitter Angelina Jolie divorce
Actor Brad Pitt has come under fire for his style as he has been accused of following in the footsteps of a star half his age.
The Hollywood actor, 60, appears to have taken some style inspiration from One Direction star Harry Styles. The 30-year-old has become known for his colourful trousers, bold shirts and bright suits. Brad has undergone a wardrobe overhaul in recent years, having ditched his classic tailored suits for a more flamboyant style.
Last weekend, he made his red carpet debut with girlfriend Ines de Ramon, 34, at Venice Film Festival. He wore a custom made Louis Vuitton navy suit, while flared trousers. Brad also dared to add a sheer shirt underneath his oversized blazer. It appeared to bare resemblance to Harry's 2019 Met Gala look where he donned a black semi-sheer ensemble.
Back in 2022, Brad made a bold fashion choice when he rocked up in a skirt to the premiere of his film Bullet Train in a skirt. The dad-of-six decided to rock the floaty brown linen number teamed with some black combat boots. Brad accompanied the look with a matching blazer, pink shirt and tortoiseshell sunglasses.
A year earlier, Harry, who insisted he "doesn't see himself as a style icon", wore a knitted green dress for a magazine shoot. Some fans have noticed a similarity in their styles yet it hasn't always gone down well. One said: "Brad never had an individual style of his own. All of his clothes were chosen for him by his women…Harry on the other hand is a style icon like Bowie was in his name."
Another added: "It could be a mid life crises, or caused by dating a younger woman....but for whatever reason Brad looks great." Someone else commented: "All the gear and no idea." A fourth wrote: "Looks silly on a 60 year old man." One person quipped: "He just has a younger woman in his life.."
Brad has had a string of famous wives and girlfriends including Jennifer Aniston, Angelina Jolie and Gwyneth Paltrow. He has always seemed to adapt his look to be the double of his partner. The Fight Club star even opted for the same haircut as Gwyneth, while he tried out a darker look when he first started dating ex wife Angelina.
The actor started dating girlfriend Ines two years ago, but only stepped out in public together last weekend. They were joined by the actor's close pal George Clooney, 63, and his wife Amal, 46, for a screening of new movie Wolfs. Brad's decision to go public with Ines last week was said to be due to one specific thing - he wanted to take a step forward in their relationship.
According to a source close to Brad, he "isn't someone who does this for show" and is "really happy" in his new relationship - eight years after his split from Angelina. Brad's romance with Ines is thought to be his first "proper" relationship since his divorce. Brad and Angelina, who have six children together, separated in 2016 prior to their lengthy divorce proceedings. The pair are not believed to be on amicable terms following their split and their divorce has been attributed to "irreconcilable differences".
The Maleficent actress currently still has sole custody over their kids, while Brad is able to visit his minor children. In June, daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, 18, filed a request to legally drop the Pitt from her name, changing it to Shiloh Jolie. Her older sister, Zahara, also chose to drop their famous father's surname when she arrived at a sorority at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia last year. It has also been said that twin Vivienne, who is the youngest daughter, has decided to follow suit.
