An Amazon delivery driver has been hailed as the 'bravest ever' for delivering parcels during a tornado, with many demanding she receive a promotion or bonus for her efforts.

Anyone who uses Amazon delivery has come to expect a certain level of professionalism from them, especially those who have signed up for their Prime service. Not only can you expect your packages to arrive the day after you’ve ordered them, but they’re usually placed either straight into your hands or on your front doorstep.

However, Amazon delivery driver Kayla VanMensel went above and beyond when she risked life and limb to bring her customer’s parcels during a tornado.

Capturing the momentous feat on camera were TikTok couple Tito and Mollie Diaz, who regularly share insights into their lives with their 105,600 followers. While sheltering from the storm as a tornado alarm began blaring through their town, the pair were left stunned when they realised an Amazon van had parked up outside.

As the intrepid worker dashed towards the Diaz residence carrying two boxes in the torrential rain, Tito could be heard yelling: "There is a siren! Get in here, forget about our packages!"

"Come in! You are the bravest Amazon delivery driver ever," he gushed as he welcomed the woman into his home. Sharing a high-five, Tito asked Kayla her name and then exclaimed: "I said come in, not bring our packages! There is literally a siren outside because there is a tornado coming, and she brings our packages. Unbelievable!"

The TikTok video capturing the event, which now has more than 40 million views, left viewers astounded. One user wrote: “Kayla deserves huge bonus from Amazon. True dedication to her work.” A second person joked: "Now THAT is prime delivery.”

In a follow-up video, Tito and Mollie revealed they had tracked Kayla down online and had plans to meet up with her for dinner. People were delighted with the outcome. One user wrote: “You guys are both just so awesome! You kept Kayla safe and I'm so glad you're staying in touch. I'm happy that she was at your house when the tornado hit.. They are just so scary!”
