Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury were reportedly desperate to add to their family before their shocking split last month.

The former Love Island couple, both 25, had been together for five years since meeting on the popular ITV dating series. They were engaged to get married and also share one-year-old Bambi together. However, reports suggest they were eager to add to their brood prior to their surprise separation.

One source claimed the former couple had been hoping to try for another child and had gone as far as planning to postpone their wedding day in case Molly-Mae fell pregnant.

Speaking to Closer Magazine, an insider said: "The heartbreaking fact of it is that Molly-Mae and Tommy were hoping to try for a second baby this summer. They’d been through a rough patch and agreed that adding to their family was really important to both of them, so they’d secretly postponed their wedding plans in the hope they’d have another child in 2025."

The source added Molly-Mae and Tommy's split has left the blonde beauty "broken" but grateful for how things have worked out. They continued: "While of course a baby would have been a blessing, after all that’s come out, Molly is actually relieved she didn’t fall pregnant.

"There is understandably a sense of added heartache knowing she and Tommy won’t be able to give Bambi a sibling though – not to mention her shattered dreams of having a big family together like they’d always planned."

Weeks after Molly-Mae broke the news of her split from her boxer beau, she took to her YouTube channel to thank her fans. In the clip, she put on a brave face and shared she doesn't plan on discussing the break-up. She went on to suggest the split shouldn't be considered "drama" or "tea" as it's her "real life", before adding: "For me, the best way to deal with this is to just to move forward."

She also revealed she had returned to social media simply because she had a new project coming up. She added: "To be perfectly honest with you, would I have taken a little bit more time off social media if it wasn't for my project? Probably. I wouldn't have come back as soon as I had done because there wasn't any need for me to. Because this was planned and in the pipeline for literally years. I'm ready for it to launch."

On Tuesday, Molly-Mae posted a snap on her Instagram Stories of her filming new content alongside the caption: "5 days."
