Oasis fans are buzzing with anticipation over the upcoming Live '25 Tour, as tickets for the Noel and Liam Gallagher reunion extravaganza are expected to be snapped up in seconds - and fans have to answer one big question in order to get tickets.

The hunt for seats kicks off at 8am on Saturday, but eager fans have the shot at early tickets by signing up for Friday's pre-sale. The band stirred excitement last night with news that a pre-sale ballot - opening registrations for just 24 hours until 7pm on Wednesday - is now live.

To enter, hopefuls must crack a multiple-choice Oasis quiz question and share whether they've witnessed the legendary '90s rockers live before. But what exactly is the question? Well, Oasis fans are asked: "Who was the drummer in the initial Oasis line up?" And the answer is of course, Tony McCarroll. Other possible answer options are Alan White and Chris Sharrock.

As fans scramble to secure tickets, former Oasis drummer Tony McCarroll is now trending on social media, and he has been Googled thousands of times today already.

Tony was Oasis's original drummer and he was even in the band before Noel Gallagher - when Oasis were called the Rain. The group was founded by Liam Gallagher, along with McCarroll, Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs and Paul "Guigsy" McGuigan.

As of now, it has only been confirmed that Liam and Noel will reunite, with no details yet of the musicians who will join them on stage. The band went through numerous huge changes over the years, with various drummers.

Alan White was Oasis's longest-serving drummer, from 1995 to 2004, replacing Tony after he was dropped following the release of Definitely Maybe. Tony, who is now 53, played on all the early Oasis hits, including Supersonic, Shakermaker and Live Forever and on breakthrough debut album Definitely Maybe. However, his time in the band was cut short.

His final Oasis performance marked their first number one hit, Some Might Say, on Top of the Pops in 1995. But the reason for him being axed depends on who you speak to.

Noel claims he wasn't good enough to play the hits he was writing for the second album, which included Don't Look Back In Anger and Wonderwall. And Tony himself claims he was kicked out because he stood up to a dictatorial and detached Noel one too many times.

What came next was a court case in which Tony tried to sue Oasis for £18m (€21.3m). At the time, he cited what he felt he was owed for his part of the band's five-album deal with Creation records. In 1999 it was settled out of court for a six-figure sum.

In a 2019 interview, Tony revealed that after getting kicked out of Oasis, he 'spent three years getting drunk'. Speaking to Manchester Evening News at the time, he said: "With the band I was used to travelling, touring. I just needed to get away. The band were getting bigger, good on them, but I needed to get away from the whole thing. So I began to ignore and neglect a few things and got away.

"I lived in the States, Tenerife. Really I got drunk for three whole years. But at the same time the court case was all ongoing, so I'm trying to get away from it all but I'm also dealing with questions from solicitors round the clock.

"And that just wasn't me. I was a young lad, I didn't appreciate or care about law and litigation and I was just gutted I had to go through that. It dragged and it dragged and it dragged when it should have been dealt with in a much better way."

The former Oasis musician said that he will never fully be able to 'get away' from being the original drummer in one of the UK's biggest-ever bands. He said: "If you're asking when I got back to normality... maybe I'm not normal. You're reminded every single f***ing day of Oasis.

"On the radio, one of your mates, someone you work with. I'll never get away from being the original Oasis drummer and that's something I've got to take on the chin."
