Tom Cruise performs incredible stunt at Olympics closing ceremony as Paris hands over to LA
Tom Cruise made an appearance the Olympics closing ceremony tonight, when he performed a huge stunt to celebrate the Games moving to Los Angeles in four years time
Tom Cruise led the way with an incredible stunt as he appeared at the Olympics Closing Ceremony tonight.
The Mission: Impossible star's appearance at the event had been rumoured for some time, with it later being confirmed he would be making an appearance. Tom had reportedly been chosen to celebrate the Games moving over to Los Angeles in California in four years time when it makes its return, following a successful stint in Paris.
During the Closing Ceremony tonight, Tom descended into the Stade de France as the handing over of the Olympic flag took place.

After H.E.R. sang the USA national anthem, Tom jumped off the top of the roof of the Stade de France where he descended into the crowd of athletes, before heading to meet the Mayor of Los Angeles and gymnast Simone Biles.
Taking the flag from them, he put it on the back of his motorbike and headed on a journey 'back to Los Angeles, and made it all the way to the Hollywood sign.
Tom had been seen filming earlier this year for the Olympics, where he was recorded scaling the iconic Hollywood sign, as part of a video that was aired tonight.
The Hollywood actor has made regular appearances at the Games this year. He was seen standing with pop star Ariana Grande as they watched Simone Biles' incredible gymnastic skills.
Tom's ex wife Nicole Kidman and spouse Keith Urban were also seen at a skateboarding event, which could no doubt lead to an awkward encounter for the former couple.
