David Clifford nabs top golf prize in Kerry
The Kerry star has been keeping busy in another sporting arena as well as continuing his scoring form with Fossa.
David Clifford hasn’t exactly been hanging about wasting his time on his summer holidays.
25 year old teacher, Clifford again demonstrated his prowess in a different sporting arena, this time winning the Killarney Golf and Fishing Club ‘summer series’
The Kerry star and double Footballer of the Year collected his prize yesterday - a set of Taylormade woods and a golf bag from the competition sponsor.

Clifford then went on to hit 1-6 for his club, Fossa, as they moved into the quarter-finals of the Kerry Petroleum Intermediate Championship.
His goal came in the 54th minute to put daylight between Fossa and Ballydonogue in a 1-18 to 3-7 win, with his older brother Paudie hitting two late points to seal their last eight place.
Fossa - the Kerry, Munster and All-Ireland junior champions in 2022/23 lost out in last year’s intermediate decider by a point to Milltown-Castlemaine.
Last September, a Clifford three wood shot off the fairway to 10 feet in the Irish Open Pro-Am at the K-Club went viral on social media.
