Prince Harry is set to pocket a cool £7m (€8.3m) in just a few weeks' time.

His great-grandmother, the late Queen Mother, had an estimated fortune of £70m (€83m) which she placed into a trust fund for her family.

The Duke of Sussex is poised to claim his share when he celebrates his 40th birthday on September 15, according to Australian magazine New Idea, citing The Times.

This comes on top of the substantial earnings from the Netflix deal that he and Meghan signed in September 2020. Harry and his brother William also received a hefty sum from the tax-exempt Duchy of Cornwall.

The latest estimate of Harry and Meghan's combined net worth is around $60million (about €55m), reports the Express. Harry is expected to receive a larger portion of the generous bequest than his older brother due to the financial arrangements within the Royal Family.

As the next in line to the throne, William will benefit from the vast wealth of the Duchy of Cornwall, a private estate that funds the public, charitable and private activities of the King's heir. Consequently, Harry is likely to receive slightly more than half of the £14m allocated for the brothers.

Despite this seemingly enviable sum, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are among the least wealthy in their circle of friends. George Clooney, who's currently being tipped as a potential presidential candidate by some Democrats following Joe Biden's surprise withdrawal, is nearly 10 times wealthier than Harry and Meghan. His net worth, shared with his top lawyer wife Amal, is estimated to be around $560m (€514m).

Tyler Perry, the filmmaker rumoured to be Princess Lilibet's godfather, is so wealthy that he was able to lend Harry and Meghan a property valued at over $15m (€13.7m) when they first relocated to California. His total net worth is believed to be around $1.4bn (€1.2bn).

Their neighbour Oprah Winfrey, who conducted the explosive 2021 interview that caused a stir with its claims about an alleged racist in the Royal family, is even richer.

The so-called "Queen of Media," who was born to a poverty-stricken single mum in rural Mississippi, presides over a vast media empire worth billions. Her personal fortune is estimated at an astounding $2.8bn (€2.5bn).
