Ruth Langsford makes statement on Eamonn Holmes marriage as she returns to Loose Women
Ruth Langsford has returned to Loose Women for the first time since her split with husband Eamonn Holmes was announced in May as he co-stars welcomed her back to the panel
Ruth Langsford kept her wedding ring on as she made a defiant statement as she returns to TV today.
After two months off due to her split from her husband Eamonn Holmes, she was back on the Loose Women panel much to the joy of her co-stars.
The TV couple, who previously hosted This Morning as a duo, sent shockwaves through the showbiz world when they announced their separation in May after 14 years together. She has take time off screen while the Co Antrim man, also 64, continues his show on GB News.
Ruth was joined on the show by Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter. The entire audience clapped as Janet said: "Thank god!" before Ruth said it was 'nice to be back'. She added that she 'won't do it again' after disappearing from the show for weeks.

Fans were quick to notice that she still had her wedding band on, and it's not the first time she has been spotted wearing the ring. She flashed a look at the silver last month as she posed for a mirror selfie, and continues to pick-and-choose when to take it off.
Before the show began at 12:30pm, she took to her Instagram Stories to tease her return with a video of the hallway at the studio. She focused the camera over the Loose Women sign on the wall before panning the camera to the neon 'Let's get loose!' sign.
Ruth captioned the post: "Back on the Loose! Hope you can join us!" As the show began, she addressed her return and told viewers at home: "Welcome to your first Loose Women of the week, it's great to have your company!" Before the show continued, Coleen Nolan said: "Can I just say? I am so happy that you're back!"
But so far, Ruth has refrained from speaking about their break-up. It was previously understood that she was preparing to chat about it live on-air with her co-stars' support. She was left devastated last month by the discovery he is being consoled through the split by another woman.
Relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, 42, has been on a number of outings with the GB News presenter in the past 12 months as well as being pictured at his home. Ruth knew little about their friendship - and Katie has been spending more time with Eamonn in recent months. It is thought both Eamonn and Ruth would like a divorce finalised in the coming months but there is understood to be a long way to go behind the scenes.
