Virgin Media Television has announced live coverage of two key games in the League of Ireland Premier Division’s title run in.

League leaders Shelbourne host second-placed Derry City in a mouth-watering, top-of-the-table clash at Tolka Park on bank holiday Monday, August 5 at 7.45pm

It has been selected for live coverage, along with Shelbourne’s derby tussle with Bohemians at Tolka Park on August 23.

For now, Shelbourne are preparing for Thursday’s European game away to Swiss giants FC Zurich in the Europa Conference League.

They warmed up for that second qualifying round, first-leg with a 1-0 win away to Bray Wanderers in the FAI Cup second round on Sunday.

But manager Damien Duff was scathing afterwards, slating his players for a poor performance in the wake of their European win in Gibraltar three days before.

Duff told Shels TV on Sunday: “"In any league if you can't do two games in four days, we will sign your P45 and you can go home. Ridiculous.

"Guys who haven't been playing a lot and were knocking on my door, they shouldn't be knocking on my door any time soon, if they do I won't answer.

“Guys coming on thinking the spot is theirs, they played with a real arrogance, an arrogance that disgusted me, disgusted a lot of people in that dressing room.”
