Serie A giants Lazio move for Irish teen who is also generating interest from Chelsea and PSV
Shamrock Rovers underage midfielder Richard Ferizaj is being monitored closely by some of Europe’s top clubs
Lazio want to take Shamrock Rovers and Ireland underage prospect Richard Ferizaj to Italy next month to train with the club’s youth academy.
The Serie A side have asked the Hoops for permission to bring him to Rome for three days in August so they can run the rule over the high-rated teenager, whose brother Justin is already in Italy in nearby Frosinone.
Ferizaj won’t turn 16 until next February and would not be allowed to transfer abroad until after his next birthday.

But Lazio are eager to edge ahead of rival sides in the pursuit of the attacking midfielder, with some other big European sides also keeping a close eye on him.
PSV have watched a number of his appearances with the Ireland Under-15 and will continue to do so, while Chelsea are also keeping tabs.
However, the Londoners would be hamstrung by Brexit rules, which would force them to wait until he is 18 before they could sign him.
