Cork fans are praising Patrick Collins as their 'unsung hero' of an epic All-Ireland semi-final victory over Limerick.

The Rebels goalkeeper pulled off some amazing saves in both halves to keep a clean sheet against the reigning All-Ireland champions.

In the 23rd minute, Limerick carved through the Cork defence and gave Aaron Gillane time and space to pick his spot.

But Collins charged out to the Limerick man and bravely put his body on the line to block Gillane's shot in stunning fashion.

Collins came to Cork's rescue again in the second half when saving Gearóid Hegarty's shot from close range.

The 27-year-old's distribution was also first-class as the Rebels set up an All-Ireland final with Clare in two weeks' time.

And while Brian Hayes contributed 1-04 and received the man-of-the-match award, many GAA fans believed that Collins would have been deserving of the accolade:
