Hello everybody and welcome to our blog for this afternoon’s All-Ireland Senior Hurling semi-final clash between Clare and Kilkenny.
Munster finalists Clare are looking to return to the All-Ireland final for the first time since 2013 when they won the Liam MacCarthy Cup thanks largely to the stunning performance of a young Shane O’Donnell. O’Donnell is still going strong over a decade later and is in the form of his life, with many considering him a shoe-in for hurler of the year already.
Since their shock draw with Carlow on May 11 in the Leinster Championship, Kilkenny’s performance has gone to a whole new level. They edged past Dublin and Wexford in their final group games before hammering the Dubs in an awesome Leinster final display to book their place in the final four.
