Tickets

There are still a limited number of tickets to Arcade Fire's gig at Malahide Castle this Sunday available to purchase via Ticketmaster, priced at €71.05 each.

If you have purchased any ticket(s) for other concert attendees, it is advised that you provide their ticket to them prior to arrival at the entry gate. Ticket inspections will be in operation on approach routes.

How to get to Malahide Castle

Concert goers are advised to use public transport as traffic and parking delays are "inevitable" on the day, according to promoters MCD.

Make sure to organise and book your return travel in advance, and be aware that pedestrians will only be permitted into the grounds of the park via the Hogans Gate entrance, close to Malahide DART Station.

The DART will be running rail services to and from Malahide DART Station for the concert, with the station just a 10-minute stroll from the venue entrance.

There will also be a direct bus service to and from Customs House Quay, Dublin 1, which will depart from the Dublin Road post-gig. This is available for either a single or return journey. You can pre-book or find out more about this service at www.marathoncoaches.ie.

In addition, there will be car parking at Malahide Castle for the concert via the Back Road.

Gig goers travelling via car are advised to pre-purchase their parking in advance from www.marathoncoaches.ie.

Malahide Castle is located a 10 minute drive from Dublin Airport and a 25 minute drive from Dublin city centre. On show day, there will be road closures in place, and a comprehensive traffic plan will be in operation.

Do not try to to park illegally in the surrounding area of Malahide Castle or in local residential areas, as parking enforcement rules will be in operation at the event and your vehicle may be clamped or towed.

Banned items

No alcohol or drinks are permitted to be brought into the venue with the exception of water and soft drinks in sealed plastic bottles up to 500ml. Empty reusable plastic bottles are permitted into the venue. There are drinking water points onsite.

Weather forecast

According to Met Eireann, there will be a mix of sunny spells and showers on Sunday, with some heavy or possibly thundery downpours likely in the afternoon and evening and highest temperatures of 14C to 17C in a light west to northwest or variable breeze.

Showers will become more isolated and die out early on Sunday night, leaving a mostly dry night with clear spells and some mist patches, with lowest temperatures of 7C to 10C in a light northwest or variable breeze.

What else do I need to know?

Under 16’s must be accompanied at all times by a Parent/Guardian over 25, who take full responsibility and remain with them throughout the event. Strict age monitoring in place. Unaccompanied under 16’s will be refused entry without refund.

Malahide Castle is a green field site, and routes of entry may require a significant walk. It is recommended concertgoers wear sturdy shoes runners or wellies. Sandals, flip flops, and high heels of any kind are strongly discouraged.
