Coronation Street's Toyah Battersby stunned by pregnancy news but fans rumble twist
Toyah Battersby found out tonight that she was pregnant when she was rushed to hospital with stomach pains in Coronation Street
Coronation Street fans have rumbled a heartbreaking twist - as Toyah Battersby discovered she was pregnant.
Toyah was rushed into hospital tonight after suffering severe stomach pains and soon she was told she was pregnant. It comes just soon after Toyah sought solace in her sister's husband Nick Tisley's arms after a tough few months.
The police found the baby Toyah buried several years ago in the nearby park, which she had secretly given birth to after being attacked by the father of the child. In sad scenes, she was joined by Leanne as she laid a yellow flower at the grave site.
However, Toyah was stunned - but overjoyed - to find out tonight she was expecting. However, fans are convinced they've rumbled a big twist and took to Twitter to share their thoughts about the storyline.

One fan wrote: "I thought Toyah might be pregnant with Nick's baby - but if I remember rightly Can Toyah get pregnant? I remember her IVF storyline with Suzy. #Corrie," whilst a second replied: "omg forgot about that. what a miracle if she is pregnant though."
Giving their verdict, another fan shared: " #Corrie. What’s the betting she has an ectopic pregnancy -Toyah!!" whilst a fourth fan wrote: "I don't think Toyah is pregnant. It'll be an ectopic pregnancy. #Corrie."
A fifth added: "So after years of thinking she's infertile, Toyah gets knocked up by Nick and ends up having an ectopic pregnancy?! I'm guessing that's the storyline anyway. #Corrie." A sixth wrote: "My money's on toyah having an ectopic pregnancy #corrie."
Meanwhile, actor Emrhys Cooper - who plays Rowan - has teased what was ahead and warned that Toyah should watch out. He said: "She is getting on his nerves. From the 'upload' Leanne’s done he's got a lot of very personal information, and potentially illegal behaviour. He has got a lot in his arsenal, it could get darker. She should watch her back. He's pretty experienced with manipulation and blackmail, he enjoys it. It is a game to him, I don't think he's scared at this point of Toyah. It is just frustrating but he's game for it."
Warning there were twists ahead and things were only going to get worse, he added: "It's gonna get [dark with] more twists and turns ahead, definitely. There's some dark experiences ahead but, in Rowan's defence he's doing it for the greater good and he believes he's helping Leanne and Amy. But I would definitely be a little nervous if I had revealed a lot of my past to someone like Rowan. It could be used against Leanne and Amy, that's something to watch out for, pay attention."
