The wait is almost over as Taylor Swift's eagerly anticipated Eras Tour finally arrives in Ireland

More than 200,000 people are expected to attend the Aviva Stadium in Dublin across three nights - June 28, 29 and 30.

The Grammy-award-winning singer is in town following her mammoth tour, which was most recently at Wembley in London. The 152-date tour has become the most lucrative set of concerts in history.

Taylor last played in Ireland in 2018, when she played two nights at Croke Park as part of her Reputation world tour.

For those heading to the Aviva Stadium this weekend, check out our ultimate guide below.

When is Taylor Swift playing in Dublin and who is the support act?

The American singer-songwriter is playing three sold-out gigs at the Aviva Stadium - June 28, 29 and 30.

It has been confirmed that turnstiles will open from 5pm for most concertgoers, with the exception of a limited number of early entry VIP ticket holders, who will be let in shortly before general doors.

All three Irish concerts will kick off at exactly 6pm. Paramore are the support act for the Dublin shows, so the band are expected to be on stage at that time.

While the full schedule for the shows is yet to be confirmed, based on the recent concerts in the UK, Paramore are likely to perform for around 45 minutes - from 6pm until 6.45pm.

Taylor is likely to take to the stage at 7.15pm, performing a mammoth three-and-a-half hour show, which will end at around 10.40pm.

What is the Eras Tour setlist?

Fans can expect that the setlist for Dublin will be more or less the same as previous concerts. In May the setlist changed to include songs from the musician's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. The current setlist features 44 songs, including two "surprise songs" - played acoustically on guitar and piano - which could be anything from her extensive back catalogue. You can see the setlist in full here.

Aviva Stadium seating plan

Concert-goers will find five important pieces of information on their tickets to help them find their seat or standing section. This includes the colour of your route - which corresponds to signs outside the stadium - as well as the letter of your turnstile and your seat and row numbers.

Meanwhile, Ticketmaster has officially activated resale for the Aviva Stadium concerts, however ticket transfer will not be made available until closer to the date of the shows. Ticketmaster said: “You will be able to transfer your tickets to family and friends no later than 48 hours before the event.”

With resale now activated, fans yet to secure a ticket should keep an eye on the Ticketmaster website HERE, where official resale tickets will be sold. Tickets will likely be snapped up very quickly, but Swifties can regularly check for official resale tickets and they could get lucky.

Getting to the Aviva Stadium

The Aviva Stadium is located on Lansdowne Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4 with an Eircode (post code) of K5F9. It is reachable by four primary methods of transport: Dublin Bus, DART (rail), Luas and coach.

Concertgoers are being advised to plan and book their return travel arrangements in advance, allowing at least an extra three hours of travel time to and from the venue.

As traffic and parking delays are inevitable in the capital on the day, Swifties are strongly encouraged to walk, use public transport and private coach services rather than drive. Strict traffic cordons will be in place two hours before the event. Walking takes approximately 40 minutes from Dublin city centre.

There is also the option of a taxi - if you were to hail a taxi from O'Connell Street, the city's main thoroughfare, this would set you back between €10-16, and the journey takes around 20 minutes. However, this may vary due to the likelihood of increased traffic heading towards the venue on the night.

Road closures

During events, the following roads are closed:

  • Lansdowne Park
  • Shelbourne Road
  • Bath Avenue
  • Lansdowne Road
  • London Bridge Road
  • Newbridge Road
  • Herbert Road
  • Tritonville Road Junction
  • Beatty's Avenue

Pubs and restaurants near the Aviva Stadium

Thankfully, there is a tonne of amazing bars and gastropubs littered just a few minutes walk to Lansdowne Road, meaning Swifties who may not know the capital too well will be able to grab a few drinks and walk to the Aviva with no issues. You can check out our comprehensive guide here.

How to buy Eras Tour merchandise

For each show, Taylor has been hosting 'early merch' stores for fans to buy official Eras Tour merchandise before the gigs and Irish Swifties can now finally get their hands on some products. You can check out prices here.

For those looking for official Eras Tour merchandise, the 3Arena in Dublin's North Wall Quay - which is roughly a 30-minute walk away from the Aviva - will be hosting the pop-up merch sale from 10am until 8pm from Thursday until Sunday. You can find more details here.

Banned items

Handcuffs and walkie talkies are some of the bizarre things banned from Taylor Swift's Aviva Stadium concerts. Fans are being warned they will not be able to bring a number of strange items into the stadium. These include the likes of thunder sticks, balloons and studded jewellery.

Promoters MCD said "strict security checks" will be in operation and everyone will be "subject to a search permissible under law". You can see the full list of banned items here.
