Taylor Swift may be dominating the headlines but the Bad Blood singer isn't the only big act coming to Dublin this weekend.

Country music superstar Shania Twain is set to perform at Malahide Castle this Friday (June 28) as part of the five-time Grammy award winner's Queen of Me tour.

The Malahide Castle gig comes less than a year after Twain performed two sold-out shows at Dublin's 3Arena, meaning fans who missed out on tickets to her gigs last year now have a second chance to see the Canadian singer live.

Twain will be joined by special guest Rag'n'Bone Man for Friday's gig and we have all the info you need ahead of the show.

Tickets

There are still a limited number of tickets to see Shania Twain perform at Malahide Castle on Friday available to purchase via Ticketmaster, priced at €79.90 each excluding booking fees.

Ticketmaster box offices and guestlist facilities are located opposite the arena entrance.

To help avoid any entry delays, concertgoers are being advised to download, print or save their ticket(s) before arriving at the concert. Organisers recommend saving the ticket(s) to your mobile device’s digital wallet. If you have purchased any ticket(s) for other concert attendees, it is advised that you provide their ticket to them prior to arrival at the entry gate. Ticket inspections will be in operation on approach routes.

Stage times

Gates will open at 4pm on Friday, and ticketholders have been warned that there is strictly no early queuing or camping permitted.

There will be two support acts before Twain takes to the stage. Australian singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem will kick off the event at 6pm, with Rag’n’Bone Man - who opened for Pink at the singer's two Dublin gigs last week - scheduled to begin his set at 7.45pm.

The main event will then get underway at 8.45pm as Shania Twain performs her best-known hits, with the concert expected to end at around 10.30pm.

An MCD spokesperson added that all times are subject to change, so fans have been advised to get to the venue 45 mins before the show starts.

Concertgoers should note that there is no re-admission to this event – if you leave the site for any reason, you will not be allowed to return.

How to get to Malahide Castle

Concert goers are advised to use public transport as traffic and parking delays are "inevitable" on the day, according to promoters MCD.

Make sure to organise and book your return travel in advance, and be aware that pedestrians will only be permitted into the grounds of the park via the Hogans Gate entrance, close to Malahide DART Station.

The DART will be running rail services to and from Malahide DART Station for the concert, with the station just a 15-minute stroll from the venue entrance.

There will also be a direct bus service to and from Customs House Quay, Dublin 1, which will depart from the Dublin Road post-gig. This is available for either a single or return journey. You can pre-book or find out more about this service at www.marathoncoaches.ie.

In addition, there will be car parking at Malahide Castle for the concert via the Back Road.

Gig goers travelling via car are advised to pre-purchase their parking in advance from www.marathoncoaches.ie.

Malahide Castle is located a 10 minute drive from Dublin Airport and a 25 minute drive from Dublin city centre. On show day, there will be road closures in place, and a comprehensive traffic plan will be in operation.

Do not try to to park illegally in the surrounding area of Malahide Castle or in local residential areas, as parking enforcement rules will be in operation at the event and your vehicle may be clamped or towed.

Banned items

No alcohol or drinks are permitted to be brought into the venue with the exception of water and soft drinks in sealed plastic bottles up to 500ml. Empty reusable plastic bottles are permitted into the venue. There are drinking water points onsite.

Other banned items include backpacks, large handbags, bags over A4 size, garden furniture, deckchairs, fold up chairs or shooting sticks, umbrellas, selfie sticks, flares/ fireworks, laser pens, megaphone/air horns, aerosols, spray cans, smoke & gas canisters, nitrous oxide & any associated equipment, glass, drones’, professional cameras with a detachable lens, video cameras, audio recording devices. Items left unattended will be removed and disposed of accordingly.

Due to health and safety, there are strictly no camping/collapsible chairs/stools permitted on site. Ticketholders are advised to do not bring these items as security will have to refuse you entry with them.

Weather forecast

According to Met Eireann, Friday looks set to be a mostly dry day with a mix of cloud and sunny spells in the morning. Cloud will increase through the day with outbreaks of rain moving in from the west later in the evening with highest temperatures of 16C to 18C.

What else do I need to know?

Under 16’s must be accompanied at all times by a Parent/Guardian over 25, who take full responsibility and remain with them throughout the event. Strict age monitoring in place. Unaccompanied under 16’s will be refused entry without refund.

Malahide Castle is a green field site, and routes of entry may require a significant walk. It is recommended concertgoers wear sturdy shoes runners or wellies. Sandals, flip flops, and high heels of any kind are strongly discouraged.

All venue bars will be cashless and have contactless card payment facilities. Food vendors will take card and cash payments.
