Health experts have issued an urgent warning for fans attending Taylor Swift’s concerts in Dublin this weekend.

The singer is set to perform for close to three and a half hours each night at the Aviva Stadium on the latest stop on her Eras Tour.

Health experts are warning fans to make sure they consume plenty of water before the concert.

Nick Hird, hydration expert and co-founder of ViDrate, said: "Staying properly hydrated during a concert is not just a suggestion; it's essential for maintaining your energy levels and ensuring you can fully immerse yourself in the experience.

"This rings especially true for lengthy concerts like the Taylor Swift Eras Tour, which spans a whopping 3 hours and 15 minutes. With such a marathon of music ahead, keeping yourself hydrated becomes paramount.

"Hydration isn't just about preventing dry mouth or quenching thirst; it's about ensuring your body functions optimally throughout the entire duration of the concert. From dancing and singing along to simply being present and engaged, your body requires hydration to perform these activities efficiently."

Nick added that people should aim for around 3.5 litres of water throughout the day, especially if they have plans to dance at the show.

"Aim for around 3.5 litres of water throughout the day if you plan on moderately dancing for 3 hours. This factors in sweat loss (around 1.5 litres for 3 hours of dancing) and your baseline water needs (around 2 litres per day). Remember, this is an estimate. Adjust based on how hot it gets and how much you sweat! Listen to your body and sip water throughout the concert."
