Love Island viewers slam Joey Essex and Sean Stone after fan favourite hunk is axed
Tiffany Leighton and Omar Nyame were both booted out of the Love Island villa this Sunday and viewers immediately flocked to social media, unhappy with Sean Stone and Joey Essex.
Love Island viewers were fuming to see Omar Nyame and Tiffany Leighton leave the villa this Sunday and they have brutally taken their frustrations out on Joey Essex and Sean Stone.
Grace Jackson and Joey encountered another bump on the road this Sunday, June 23, as Omar showed clear interest in the model, keen to explore his potential with her - and the TOWIE legend was having none of it.
The pair of men were embroiled in a heated confrontation which quickly became the talk of social media throughout Sunday evening. Multiple viewers took to X as they stepped in to defend the teacher and slam Joey, who has continually earned the ire of TV fans in recent episodes of the reality show.
"Joey is rlly embarrassing for talking to Omar like that actually, how cringey", one viewer penned on X, otherwise known as Twitter. Another praised Omar for keeping his cool when a frustrated Joey confronted him: "Joey you thought you’d be up there because you think you’re an A-list celebrity. Omar was the only one to bring you down a peg or 2."
One viewer then lamented: "The way Omar got iced out/excluded by all of the boys as a 'joke' ...then Joey squared up and then boom he's dumped. You can see who runs the villa." Later on, however, Joey's outburst was overshadowed by Sean Stone's strategy to keep Matilda Draper all to himself. As Maya Jama made a surprise entrance to announce another dumping, Sean was one of the six islanders to be saved by the public vote and advocated kicking Omar out of the villa as he feared for his budding connection with the newest bombshell.
"Sean has been so dam unfair here like he needs to be voted out next how is he allowed to make that decision for Matilda that's not even fair sending Omar home because of his insecurities and saving Joey when his been on numerous dating shows get rid of public votes", one viewer commented.
Another warned: "Sean your days are numbered", just as one TV watcher chimed in: "Tonight's episode passed me off cause I didn’t like how Joey try come at Omar over a friendly conversation and then you have Sean tryna throw shade at Omar cause he thinks he has better connection, mind you she’s gonna leave you for someone else."
One viewer then quipped: "Haha Joey is so insecure, if Grace doesn’t get the ick soon", as another finally agreed: "Joey is a nasty, insecure little man." But while viewers were raging, Maya Jama took the reigns of Love Island Aftersun, following Omar and Tiffany's exits and the pair were her main guests for Sunday's show.
Speaking about Sean's strategy to keep him away from Matilda, Omar let the host know there were no hard feelings as he said: "a decision had to be made", before admitting he understood Joey's harsh reaction towards him. Have viewers really seen the last of him?
