A Cork teenage Taylor Swift superfan was left in tears after nabbing last-minute Premium Tickets for the star next weekend.

Earlier this week, 34-year-old Cork mum Natalie Bruton, from Cobh, issued a desperate plea to find two tickets to see the American superstar in Dublin ahead of three nights at the Aviva Stadium next week.

Ms Bruton’s 12-year-old daughter, Amelia, is nothing short of a super-fan, who spends “morning, noon and night” listening to countless hours of Taylor’s music. The preteen is in the top 2% of Taylor Swift listeners on Spotify.

After hearing her desperate plea last week, a listener to the Neil Prendeville Show on Corks Good Times RedFM has offered a pair of Premium Tickets at face value to the Cobh girl and her mum.

The listener, who wishes to remain anonymous, had a medical episode which prevented him from attending the concert.

Ms Bruton said she paid the anonymous kind-hearted man €156 each for the Premium Tickets cost.

“He was so genuine. He just said that he had heard about it on RedFM and seen it on The Echo, he said he didn’t know how it came up in my phone in my feed. He said that as much as he would enjoy it, he knew this child would enjoy it way more and she deserves it way more.

“I did have another woman onto me for the same seats on the other side of the stadium and she was looking for €2,000. She was making a huge profit.”

Amelia broke down in tears as her mother told her live on air that she was going to see Taylor. Amelia added: “I can’t believe it at all.”
