A cringe-worthy viral clip has captured ex-President Donald Trump clinging on for dear life as he gingerly makes his way down the steps of his private jet, apparently before a campaign event this past Saturday.

In the video, which has been circulating online, you can see Trump intensely focused, gripping the handrail tightly and directing all his concentration on avoiding a tumble, a mishap his detractors argue he dreaded more than anything at that moment as it could portray him as weak and feeble.

Liberal media outlet MeidasTouch's editor-in-chief Ron Filipkowski shared the footage, commenting, "Look how intensely focused he is on not screwing this up because this is so important to him. Staring down the whole time while gripping that railing."

Upon reaching the bottom without incident, Trump appears to take a moment to bask in his success. Filipkowski observed, "Then you can see how proud he is of his accomplishment at the bottom."

The purpose of Trump's journey wasn't immediately obvious, although he was spotted at a Turning Point Action convention in Michigan later that day, as he campaigns for another stint in the Oval Office with the November election on the horizon.

Social media users didn't hold back in mocking the former leader's careful descent and subsequent self-satisfied expression at the base of the stairs. One X user, @ArtCandee, pointed out, "Trump's going so slow too, yet he makes fun of Biden for going deliberately because of his neuropathy."

Several onlookers pointed out the President's peculiar stride, describing how his right leg swung in a broad arc, appearing to be carried rather than walked on. User @rloewe65 remarked, "There is something seriously wrong with his right leg. Watch how he practically flings it out in front of him as he steps down compared to the left leg."

Amidst ongoing allegations speculating that Trump may have dementia, his consistent gait irregularities and apparent struggle to balance while walking have drawn the attention of numerous professionals expressing concern over his cognitive health.

In an exclusive talk with TheMirror.com, Dr. John Gartner suggested Trump's unusual shambling could indicate frontotemporal dementia, which affects the brain's frontal lobe influencing motor functions.

Despite such speculations regarding his well-being, Trump has resolutely rebuffed any suggestion of mental or physical deterioration. On the contrary, he has taken swipes at his political opponent, current President and Democrat Joe Biden, whom he faces in the upcoming November reelection battle.

There have been comparable insinuations about Biden having dementia following numerous slip-ups during public engagements notably, his freezing mid-sentence at a White House event. Last year also saw him tumbling on stage during the Air Force Academy commencement ceremony, a mishap that rapidly became a sensational viral moment. In line with Trump, Biden has steadfastly dismissed claims of any memory impairment.

However, Trump has also had his fair share of blunders, often confusing names and stumbling over his words. Both are running neck and neck in the polls for the 2024 election, and it's still uncertain who will emerge victorious to lead the nation for the next four years.
