Rory McIlroy is hoping to end his major hoodoo this evening as he tees it up in the final round of the US Open.
The Holywood man has not won a major since 2014 and currently sits in second place going into the final round.
It has been a rollercoaster week for the four-time major winner as he raced to the lead after Day One with a scintillating opening round of five-under-par.
A two-over-par round on Friday followed before a grind of a one-under-par 69 on Saturday to sit in a tie for second alongside Patrick Cantlay and Matthieu Pavon at four-under-par with 2020 US Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau leading the way at seven-under-par.
McIlroy tees it up alongside Ryder Cup rival Cantlay and caddy Joe LaCava at 7.10 pm while Pavon and DeChambeau get underway at 7.21 pm.
McIlroy was agonisingly close to winning the US Open last year but was beaten out by Wyndham Clark by a single shot and won the event in 2011.
