Who is Declan Rice's girlfriend who deleted ALL her Instagram pics after vile taunts
Former Republic of Ireland international Declan Rice's partner, Lauren Fryer, has been subjected to some heartbreaking abuse on social media - and now she's in the spotlight again as the footballer kicks off Euro 2024 with England
Declan Rice's girlfriend has had a torrid time in the public eye after being the victim of vicious taunts online.
Lauren Fryer, 25, who has been with the England star for eight years and is the mother of Declan's son, Jude, 22 months, was forced to remove all the photographs from her Instagram account after being cruelly trolled for her appearance. A quick scroll on former Republic of Ireland international Declan's feed reveals no images of Lauren there either.
Unfortunately for the wary WAG, Lauren is back in the spotlight again as Declan, 25, hopes to bring glory to England at the Euros, which kick off this weekend in Germany when the team take on Serbia today. So, as we wait to see if Miss Fryer will be in the stands supporting her man, here's what we know about the gorgeous mum-of-one...
Declan's childhood sweetheart
Having met at school, Lauren and Declan began dating at the age of 17 and have been together ever since. The Chessington-born WAG has stood by the footballer's side through every stage of his career, from debuting with West Ham to his big-money move to the Emirates.
Despite being frequently spotted in the stands, supporting Declan on the pitch, the footballer previously admitted that Lauren is jealous of his bond with Chelsea ace Mason Mount - a childhood friend from their time together at the west London club's academy.
He told The Sun: "My missus is quite worried. I’m genuinely being serious. She’s quite worried. Oh she’s just always: 'You two... you love him more than you love me'.Honestly. We just get it in the neck all the time. But they need to understand the friendship."
Despite being romantically involved for eight years, Declan and Lauren prefer to conduct their relationship away from the public eye. However, they did let their hair down during a rare public appearance at the Reading Festival in 2021. They were papped rubbing shoulders with Oasis star, Liam Gallagher, following his headline performance at the annual event.
Mum-of-one
Lauren and Declan welcomed their son into the world in August 2022. The news was revealed when Declan sported a new tattoo on his arm with Jude’s name, his date of birth August 7 and his star sign, which is a Leo.
Before then, Lauren’s pregnancy had been kept a secret by the couple. However, fans were delighted when they found out the news, congratulating the proud parents on their new addition to the family.
The couple also have a dog - Raffa the pooch - which Declan gifted Lauren for Christmas one year. It's believed the pair welcomed the cute pup into their lives after a romantic trip to Paris.
Horrendous trolling
The horrendous bullying of Lauren first started in December last year when an anonymous account told the England star he "could do better".
Recently, Declan was told he had "low standards" for being in a relationship with his girlfriend, prompting the mum-of-one to delete all her pictures and photos from Instagram.
She still has 64,000 followers on the platform and has kept her profile public rather than private, but there are, heartbreakingly, no images of Lauren, prompting Liberty Poole , 24, to speak out.
Reality TV star Liberty, who appeared on the seventh series of Love Island in 2022 and Love Island All Stars earlier this year, wrote on her Instagram Stories: "I think she's beautiful this is crazy.What happened to celebrating different body types and embracing how we are all individually made."
The 'love of Declan's life'
Leaping to the defence of his partner after the social media slurs, Declan publicly stated that Lauren was the "love of his life", adding he 'doesn't need an upgrade', after he was cruelly urged to get one.
Other social media users were also quick to jump to Lauren's defence with many slamming the vile trolls. However, it's not known if the mum-of-one will return to Instagram, even if her man is going to be, hopefully, hitting the headlines for the right reasons with England next week.
Ahead of the tournament, Declan took his partner and Jude to a swanky restaurant, which has been frequented by a flurry of footballers over the years.
The England midfielder looked incredibly relaxed on the weekend, even signing autographs outside, as he dined with his childhood sweetheart and their son at Novikov in Mayfair, London.
