Taoiseach Simon Harris has told Rhasidat Adeleke to rise above the haters after her coach told of the online abuse the sprinter has received in recent months.
Tallaght star Adeleke is one of the brightest prospects in the sprinting world and came away from this week's European Championship with three medals.
The 21-year-old won gold in the mixed 4x400m relay, silver in the women's 4x400m relay, and another silver in the individual 400m.

But her American coach Edrick Floreal told Q102′s Weekend Sports Breakfast that Adeleke had been left in tears over comments she received on social media.
The Taoiseach has been quick to offer his support to the Dubliner, writing on X: "Rhasidat Adeleke is not only a world-class champion, she is a world-class person.
"You have inspired a nation this week, especially young girls & boys.
"You are class, so please do not let online cowards bring you down. You are Ireland and Ireland could not be more proud of you."
Adeleke already holds six national records and is a leading medal prospect ahead of the Paris Olympics.
