After a series of clues, fans were already speculating that Hailey was expecting her first child with husband Justin Bieber.

Fans had been speculating for weeks about the model possibly being pregnant, pointing out some clues along the way that appeared to be of her concealing the baby news.
The pair was absent from the Met Gala earlier this week, an event that prior to last year, she had not missed for seven years in a row. There have also been a series of photos she has shared to her Instagram account in recent months, of herself wearing baggy or loose clothing—which other celebrities like Keke Palmer have done, prior to revealing they were also expecting. In another post, the beauty mogul shared a photo of her eating snacks, including Krispy Kreme donuts.
Justin and Hailey tied the knot in 2018 after dating on and off for years. They shared the news that they were expecting with a series of videos and photos on Instgram, that showed her baby bump in a white lace dress, as the couple seemingly renews their vows.
The model has been the victim of constant online bullying due to their relationship, as well as facing constant speculation that she was pregnant with the singer's baby. Now that the news has been revealed, here are a list of clues that led fans to believe that adding validity to the pregnancy rumors.
Hailey's wardrobe was different recently
The Rhode skin founder is known for her slim frame and has often shown it off with skintight and formfitting outfits, but that seemingly changed in recent months. On her Instagram, Hailey has been wearing loose-fitting garments, including baggy blazers and jackets, covering up her frame, especially her torso. She has also been sharing photos and selfies from the chest up, not showing her body as usual.
Hailey's pregnancy speculation kicked into high gear after fans noticed her fashion choices for Coachella. She took a page out of her husband's style, wearing more relaxed and baggier clothes. One of her Coachella outfits consisted of loose jeans, a New York Yankees bomber jacket, and a red baseball cap with a cheetah-print scarf tied over it.
Hailey skipped the 2024 Met Gala
Before 2023, the model attended the Met Gala for seven years in a row. Then in 2023, she announced that she wasn't attending that year but it was for work reasons. "I'm not going to the Met this year gearing up for our next rhode launch so decided to sit this one out but will be back next year," she wrote in a group text message.
In a Reddit thread after this year's Met Gala some fans speculated about her whereabouts and recent online behavior. "Where is she?" one wrote, adding, "No met appearance? No staged pap walks? Coffee runs, pilates, No thirsty a-- vacay pics. No rhode photo shoots or new product launch. she’s really trynna keep these rumors going huh?"
"Honestly I think she’s pregnant," replied another use. "Could she be hiding a pregnancy by avoiding the Met?" another asked.
Their Hawaii vacation videos got some attention

Hailey and Justin were spotted having lunch at a food truck during their trip to Hawaii. Some fans thought she looked pregnant in a TikTok video where she was spotted wearing a loose white dress. "She's totally pregnant," a fan wrote, with another adding, "Yeah Hailey’s pregnant omg."
"That dress did her wrong she look so pregnant in it and she probably ain’t I mean I’d love if she is though," another person commented.
Justin Bieber was crying in a selfie
Now that the news is out, it could be speculated that Justin's recent crying selfie had to do with Hailey's pregnancy. The model commented on the photo, saying he was "a pretty crier,” which she then deleted after people said it was insensitive. But if he was crying about happy news, the comment now makes more sense. "Thisssss explains why he was crying! She’s probably [pregnant] and if it’s a girl… that’s it folks. Bieber will never leave. Which is cool if he’s happy," one person commented on TikTok.
Hailey was also reportedly spotted liking a video about a newborn just one day after she followed, then unfollowed, a creator who shares information about pregnancy.
