Dessie Farrell has named a strong starting line-up for Dublin's Leinster final against Louth this Sunday as Jack McCaffrey returns to the squad.

McCaffrey has been ruled out in recent weeks but is set to make an impact from the bench as he returns to the fold.

Dublin boss Farrell has a nearly fully fit squad to choose from with the only notable absence of Lee Gannon, who remains absent through injury but Brian Howard has been deemed fit enough for a spot on the bench.

Stephen Cluxton continues to get the nod in goal, his third appearance for the county this week while veteran Michael Fitzsimons has been named at full back.

Captain James McCarthy has been named in midfield while Ciaran Kilkenny, Paul Mannion, and Con O'Callaghan are all named to start in the forward line.

Speaking ahead of the game, Farrell said of his squad: "With injuries, you always remain in a state of flux. For a session like tonight we could pick up one or two so we are under constant observation and particularly minding fellas who might be a little injury-prone. Jack (McCaffrey) has come on well over the last couple of weeks and Brian Howard we are hoping for the weekend."

And assessing the campaign he said: "Pretty decent. There are definitely some aspects of our performances that are pretty pleasing. There is also, equally, aspects we need to work on. It's very much a work in progress. We have identified some of those."
