Even at 48-years-old, Ollie Murphy is still reliable for a score from the bench.

The Meath football legend proved his worth yet again this week for his home club Carnaross when he was sprung from the sidelines to help his side see off Drumbaragh in their Division 9 clash.

Ollie wasn't the only Murphy wearing the maroon and yellow as his son, Charlie, started at half-forward for the game which was played in glorious sunshine at Páirc Naomh Chiaráin.

Wearing number 28, the former All-Ireland winner - who famously netted in that winning final against Cork over two decades ago - was sprung from the bench in the second-half and linked up with his son to set Charlie up for a score.

The two-time All-Star even kicked a score himself as Carnaross ran out five-point winners on a score of 3-12 to 1-13.

Proof if ever it was needed that class truly is permanent!
