Kate Middleton's bedtime routine is said to be strikingly similar to that of the late Queen Elizabeth II. The Princess of Wales reportedly adheres to a strict sleep schedule, retiring at 10.30pm each night to ensure she's well-rested for her Royal duties the following day.

She is also said to enjoy an early dinner around 6pm, mirroring the late Queen's routine of going to bed at the same time each night and signing off duty at 11pm.

A sleep expert previously suggested that the Queen managed to get an impressive 8.5 hours of sleep per night, which falls within the healthy sleep range for adults. This is quite remarkable considering her busy schedule throughout her reign.

The Queen also enjoyed reading before falling asleep, a great way to wind down after a hectic day. She would rise at 7.30am, ensuring she got a respectable eight and a half hours of sleep each night, as reported by the Express.

Exercise is known to aid a good sleep routine, and like the late monarch, Kate is renowned for her love of outdoor exercise. Known as one of the sportiest members of the Royal Family, Kate's healthy lifestyle includes activities such as running and dog-walking, reports the Mirror.

The Queen, an avid equestrian, often used horse riding as part of her exercise routine and loved to hike around the verdant grounds of Balmoral during her stays. She was a familiar sight throughout her reign, walking her cherished corgis across her expansive estates.

Similarly, Meghan Markle is known for maintaining an active lifestyle. On her now-defunct lifestyle blog The Tig, she once shared insights into how she fits exercise into her hectic life, writing: "The morning, as we all know, is that vital time that sets the tone for our day ahead."

She's said to kick off her day with yoga, which is celebrated for its numerous health perks. Speaking to Best Health, Meghan highlighted the advantages of yoga, saying: "There are so many benefits that come with the practice of yoga... increased flexibility and strength, greater happiness, increased mental focus, a greater ability to relax, decreased anxiety and better sleep."

Yoga has been a staple in Meghan's life, largely thanks to her mother Doria Ragland, who works as a yoga instructor. Meghan has shared, "Yoga is my thing. My mom is a yoga instructor, and I started doing mommy-and-me yoga with her when I was seven."

Despite initial resistance during her childhood, Meghan recalled her mother's encouragement: "I was very resistant as a kid, but she said, 'Flower, you will find your practice just give it time.'" She revealed that her commitment to yoga became more consistent starting from her college days.

Meghan, known for her health-conscious lifestyle, has previously admitted to favouring a green juice over caffeine for an energy boost. But the self-confessed food lover also believes in balance, revealing that she indulges in wine and French fries as her guilty pleasures.
