Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva wants his future resolved by the end of Euro 2024 this summer.

Silva has two years left on his current deal but has long been linked with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona and is known to be keen on a new challenge.

As well as Barca, Paris Saint Germain tried to sign Silva in the past, but he rejected the chance to join the French club and signed a one-year contract extension with City last year.

But Silva could finally be ready to move on, with the 29-year-old's new deal understood to contain a £50m release clause that can be activated from this summer.

That has put a host of Europe's top clubs on alert to Silva's potential availability, with the Portugal star having asked to leave City in the past, to be closer to his family. City boss Pep Guardiola regards Silva as one of his most influential players and would be reluctant to lose him, but he has never stopped players from leaving if they express a desire to move on.

Ilkay Gundogan left City for Barca last summer and Silva could be tempted to reunite with him at the Nou Camp, as well as Portugal compatriots Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix.

Silva has enjoyed a glittering seven-year career at City, winning five Premier League titles, four League Cups, two FA Cups, the Champions League, Club World Cup and Super Cup.
