Jadon Sancho underlined his love for Borussia Dortmund with several posts on social media after helping them reach the Champions League final.

The winger was key across the two legs as the German side shocked PSG, winning both games of their semi-final, with their sights now fixed on Wembley. The Bundesliga side backed up their 1-0 win on home soil by claiming victory by the same scoreline in Paris on Tuesday night.

Sancho was a key figure in both games as he continues to resurect his career at the club where he first made his name. The Englishman's performance in the first leg was particularly influential and the Manchester United loanee was then part of a gritty display in the Parc des Princes.

He posted a picture of the entire team on the pitch with yellow and black heart emojis. He also said: "Wow, unbelievable @BVB. Champions League Final!" Videos of the team celebrating then began to circulate on social media with Sancho leading them in a singing session to Adele's ballad 'Someone Like You'.

It has been quite the turnaround for Sancho, who was frozen out in Manchester after calling out Erik ten Hag on social media, claiming he was being made a "scapegoat" following his omission from the matchday squad early in the season.

He wasn't picked again by the Dutchman and, as all parties sought a resolution, he was allowed to leave in January with the expectation being that he will eventually depart permanently if Ten Hag does remain in his post. The pair's relationship has appeared beyond repair.

Even before Ten Hag arrived in Manchester, Sancho had struggled to justify the £70million United paid to sign him back in 2021. He regularly shone at Dortmund during his first spell but has been unable to replicate that kind of football in the Premier League.

Now, back at the German side, he looks to be heading back to that level. Dortmund's domestic season has not been great with the team sat fifth, although that will be good enough for the Champions League. In Europe though they've come through the group of death and seen off some major sides in the knockout rounds.

Manager Edin Terzic has already admitted he doesn't know if Dortmund will be able to retain Sancho going forward with the finances set to be the major stumbling block. Nevertheless, their focus is now on Wembley, where they lost the Champions League final in 2013 under Jurgen Klopp.
