These are the heartbreaking pictures that show how agonising life has been for brave young schoolboy Noah Quish since he was born.
The seven-year-old underwent his 12th operation last month and is now home recovering before his next op in October.
He was born in March 2017 and diagnosed with a heart condition, severe obstructive Laryngomalacia, scoliosis, malformation of the brain, severe sleep apnoea, a chromosome deletion, and meningitis.

His loving mum Una described Noah as their “little miracle”.
She told the Irish Mirror: “Noah is doing great. He’s getting back to himself but obviously still stiff and sore. He is not able to do the things he loves yet like play at the park.
“We are so proud of him and how far he has come. He is our little miracle. It’s been a rough few years.”
Noah’s latest surgery last month was for scoliosis – which is when the vertebrae form a curved line instead of being straight. He has had a dozen operations in total, including open heart surgery at four months old and surgery on his airways.
He has had six brain operations, two heart ops, one on his lungs, one on his appendix, one that required a feeding tube to be inserted into his stomach, and now one on his spine. Noah, who has battled several serious illnesses his whole life, endured six hours on the operating table for the scoliosis op.
Devoted parents-of-two Una and dad John were at his hospital bedside again, along with loving big sister Leah. He is now home and recovering, which Una revealed will take time.
She said: “He has a long road ahead of him before the next surgery in around six months. “He’s very sore and not too mobile yet, but he is determined to get back to himself soon.”
She added in a Facebook post: “Noah is defying all the odds every day and living his best life, despite all the pain and suffering. It has been the toughest few years of our lives. Noah had brain surgery and complications and we nearly lost him. And now he has had spine surgery, but we got through it.”
Fundraisers to help Noah and his family are ongoing, with proceeds from a recent Limerick Suicide Watch barbecue designated for him.
A Go Fund Me page called Noah's Long Road To Recovery has raised €13,775 of a €15,000 goal.
