Tiger Woods remains tight-lipped on advice to PGA Tour stars - 'cannot be said'
Tiger Woods remains tight-lipp

Tiger Woods kept his cards close to his chest when asked what type of advice his fellow PGA Tour stars reach out to him for. Woods has established himself as arguably golf's greatest player during his career, winning a record-equalling 82 PGA Tour titles and 15 major championships.

And despite being recently blighted by injury, Woods is still out competing on the American-based circuit, albeit on a more part-time schedule.

Now 48, the five-time Masters champion has handed over the mantle at the top of professional golf, with the likes of Rory Mcllroy and Scottie Scheffler battling out at the top of the world rankings.

Amid all the talent of the new generation, Woods remains the man that the world's best players are inspired me and leaning on for advice thanks to his remarkable stature in the game of golf.

Appearing on the Today Show this week to promote his new Sun Day Red apparel line, the American was quizzed on what sort of questions he is asked by his fellow pros seeking advice, but remained tight-lipped. "It ranges," he laughed.

"It cannot be said, but a lot of things are golf related, being how did I do it, how did I do it for so long? And even why did I do it? Why did I make changes to my game? Some of them are just trying to get better, just like I was." Someone Woods would no doubt be keen to share his expertise with is his son Charlie.

The 15-year-old has began to forge a golfing career of his own, all whilst carrying the weight of his 82-time PGA Tour-winning dad on his shoulders. Charlie - who is currently playing High School golf - attempted to make his first major start this year, after entering last month's U.S. Open qualifying.

Things however did not go to plan this time around, as the teenager carded a nine-over 81 qualifying to bring his quest to make it to Pinehurst to an end. He of course has the guidance of golf's most famous son in Tiger, but there is no doubt the youngster is keen to make a name for himself.

Asked about the father-son relationship Woods Sr went on: "[Charlie] listens to me about golf, but anything outside of that, because I don't know about anything else [he doesn't]. But even then there is a little bit of push back in golf, which is totally cool. He is 15 years old, it's happens.

"It is what teenagers goes through and they are trying to find there own place in the world." The father-son duo were pictured alongside each other on the range at Augusta National last month, as Woods made just his second start of the 2024 campaign at the Masters.

This time around it appeared it was Charlie helping dad, as they went through some swing actions in his warm-up. Opening up on the session, Woods added.: "It was just like being at home, and practicing at home. I am trying to keep the club tight to my body. I was trying to keep my arm path tight to my body and not let it run on, basically trying to get my hips to move.
