Gemma Collins takes swipe at Victoria Beckham, saying 'huge changes' are needed
Former TOWIE star Gemma Collins is documenting her weight loss journey with her followers, but she's slammed the fashion industry's lack of inclusivity on the high street
Gemma Collins has urged the fashion industry to make "huge changes" after learning Victoria Beckham's new Mango range only goes up to size 12.
The former TOWIE star urged followers to embrace their bodies while showing off her slimmed-down figure on Instagram. Posing in a black, tie-front swimsuit, the TV personality looked stunning. But despite her recent weight loss, she still has trouble shopping on the high street, and has urged retailers to stock plus sizes in store - specifically naming 50-year-old Victoria's new collection for Mango.
Gemma wrote: "Whatever your BODY CONFIDENCE is EMBRACE IT. Still need HUGE CHANGES in fashion. I was saying it ten years ago girls where we all shopping on the high st atm?
"I want to wear VBS collection too for mango… I love her x
"Literally in 2024 there is not one shop on high st that is doing plus or am I missing something ??? Seems to be ALL ONLINE I want to shop too!!!"

Great British Bake Off finalist and body positivity advocate Laura Adlington echoed Gemma's thoughts, replying: "It’s absolutely dire at the moment!!! Best place is probably @neverfullydressed xxx"
Another fan joined in, adding: "The high street is an absolute joke. New Look used to do plus size in store and then took it out of all their stores and just have it online now. My only option for clothes is either George at Asda, Tesco, and Very and I have to get most of it online." While a third encouraged Gemma to take the lead, writing: "You need to start your own clothes line and design them yourself. You'd be a hit. You have style and you look amazing. Do it xx"
Gemma, 43, has been sharing her weight loss journey with fans on social media, revealing she's lost an incredible 20lbs already from monitoring her diet and cutting out sugar.
Speaking to the Mirror and OK! magazine last month, she said: "The thing is I don't want to be stick thin, I just want to be healthy. I've got so much to look forward to and I want to feel amazing." Since her boyfriend Rami popped the question earlier this year, the couple are now planning three weddings - one in the UK, one abroad, and one with only their close family and friends.
Gemma has enlisted the help of bodybuilder Eddie Abbew and is now focusing on a high-protein diet, which includes whole foods and less carbohydrates. Celebrating a major milestone in February, Gemma shared that she had lost almost a stone in just a week, with no "vigorous exercise".
Eddie asked: "Were you ever hungry?" "No!", Gemma replied. "I'm sharp as a knife. I'm raring to go. I've never done any sort of plan where I've eaten real food, I've eaten nuts, I've eaten feta, eggs, meat, avocado. It's bizarre. I just cannot wait, bring on week two."
