Audit, accounting and consulting group Mazars has announced the appointment of András Bagyura as head of business development in the CEE region, incorporating ten countries, according to a press release sent to the Budapest Business Journal.

András Bagyura

Starting from the beginning of 2019, András Bagyura is responsible for harmonizing and coordinating the business development activities of the regional Mazars offices. The company, dealing with tax, legal and business advisory services, says that it aims to become a leading player in the whole CEE region, the press release says.

Prior to his appointment, Bagyura was head of business development of Mazars Hungary, since 2012. Now he is responsible for ten countries: Albania, Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, and Ukraine. His task will be to harmonize and coordinate the business development activities of the regional Mazars offices. In regional business development, he will work with the former Czech business development manager, Martina Kučerova, who will be primarily responsible for implementing the SalesForce CRM system, the press release says.

"For Mazars, the CEE region was always particularly important. We have been present in the region for almost 20 years and our group is already among the five largest consulting firms in corporate transaction consulting," says Bagyura. "However, we have set even more serious goals now: Mazars plans to be a leading player in the audit, advisory and management markets across the CEE region."

The two appointments were made in recognition of the successful work of Kučerova and Bagyura, as well as the recognition of the business development results of the two countries. Bagyura, who speaks fluent English, worked for one of the worldʼs leading credit insurers, Coface, and export credit insurer Magyar Exporthitel Biztosító Zrt. for more than ten years prior to his career at Mazars. He completed his studies at Corvinus University of Budapest, where he obtained a degree in international economics and then completed a masterʼs degree in insurance.
