Man arrested for handing out smoke bombs at football match

A 21-year-old man was arrested after being seen on CCTV footage handing out smoke bombs to other football fans at Saturday’s football match between Ael and Ethnikos Achnas.
The man, aged 21 years old, had been caught on camera taking the smoke bombs into the Alphamega Stadium, where the match was being played.
When the match began, he and a number of other fans let the smoke bombs off, with the man being seen on camera letting two off.
Despite the fact he was wearing a mask, police were able to discern his identity and arrested him at the end of the match.
The mask he was wearing was found in his possession, and he remains in custody.
The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
