The Paphos District Court issued a three-day detention for an 18-year-old woman on Monday for an investigated case of impersonation, forgery, and circulation of a forged document.

According to the police, on Saturday afternoon the woman presented herself at a Paphos airport departures desk bound for another EU country with a Dutch ID card.

During the passport check, officers determined that the ID card was fake. When questioned, she confessed her true details and that she was an African national.

Police arrested the woman for the evident offences and she was taken into custody.
