A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with two cases of theft, one in which he stole air conditioning units from an office, and one in which he stole cigarettes and cash from a kiosk.
Police executed an arrest warrant against the man at his house at around 8.30pm on Thursday, though he initially resisted arrest, striking a police officer and injuring him, while also verbally threatening other officers.
Upon his arrest a search of a bag in his possession revealed around half a gram of a “crystal methamphetamine-like substance”.
The police’s investigation into the matter is ongoing.
