Nearly 60% of parents pay for private tutoring for their children. The main reason why students have to take extra lessons is poor-quality preparation at school, which is not sufficient for applying for high school or university. This is shown by a nationally representative survey among parents, students, deans, school principals and teachers, cited in the audit of the Audit Office "Ensuring the quality of school education" for the period from September 1, 2019 to June 30, 2023, "Dnevnik" reports.
