British noodle chain Wagamama is pulling out of Belgium, closing its locations in Antwerp and on Boulevard Anspach in Brussels.
Wagamama’s Belgian website was recently updated with the announcement that "Wagamama Antwerp and Brussels are permanently closed", but a buyer is reportedly being sought.
The restaurants had been serving Japanese-inspired dishes in Belgium since February 2020, though the chain itself originated in 1992 and still has locations all over the world.
The closures of the Belgian restaurants is not expected to affect the restaurants in other countries.
