Live Updates from Coolera Strandhill versus Cuala All-Ireland senior football semi-final
Hello and welcome to our coverage from the Breffni Park meeting of Cuala and Coolera Strandhill.
We'll have live updates as the country continues to thaw out with heavy fog predicted across the island.
Hopefully that won't interfere with this one in the way it did to Glen's All-Ireland semi-final victory over Kilmacud Crokes last year at Pairc Esler, Newry, when players admitted they were struggling to see the other end of the pitch and pick out team mates.
On the face of it, it’s difficult to see past Cuala’s athleticism and the scoring threat of the O’Callaghan brothers - Con and Niall - but conditions could play a major role.
Cuala's midfield has been paraticularly impressive and Peter Duffy looks to have the athleticism, pace and work rate to join Peadar O Cofaigh Byrne in the Dublin squad.
Coolera Strandhill have their ace marksman in Niall Murphy, but Cuala have dogged backs in the likes of Michael Fitzsimons, Eoghan O’Callaghan and Danny Conroy.
Sean Taylor and former Kilmacud Crokes All-Ireland winner and Dublin hurler, Ross O’Carroll, are two grizzled defenders down the spine of the Coolera Strandhill defence you’d love to have and who take few prisoners.
Their wandering goalie, Keelan Harte, could help them control the ball for spells if they need to.
The Sligo men came from five back to force extra-time in a Connacht final victory over Padraig Pearses that few saw coming.
Pearses shot selection was wild enough and Coolera Strandhill took full advantage. They also beat Ballina in the semi-final, this time on penalties - in another huge shock and won the Sligo County Final after a replay.
So they are certainly road tested, but so are Cuala after victories over Naas, Tullamore and St. Mary’s Ardee - all good sides.
