PM, Health Minister visit patients, workers at Mount Carmel Hospital

Prime Minister Robert Abela and Health Minister Jo Etienne Abela have visited patients and workers at Mount Carmel Hospital, the Department of Information said.

In a short address, Abela said that the message that needs to be sent at this time of the year is that nobody should be isolated but should be part of a community that takes care of everyone.

Abela thanked the workers and added that community services for people with mental health issues are also available in places that are more like homes than a hospital.

He said that by strengthening such services, patients can live a more independent life with support from professionals.
