MCAST students protest in support of lecturers

Students of the MCAST Mosta Campus on Wednesday held a protest in support of lecturers, as talks for an agreement with the government have still not concluded. The theme of the protest is that of 'Tuna Edukazzjoni' (Give us education).

The gathering was held on the main road between the Mosta Campus and the opposite Lidl store.

The organisers of the event stated that students at MCAST are "currently experiencing a profound sense of frustration and uncertainty due to ongoing industrial action by the Malta Union of Teachers".

They continued that with teachers on strike, students feel that their futures are "hanging by a thread" and are "left waiting for the government to intervene while their education is compromised".
