Man arrested over aggravated drug possession

A man was arrested over aggravated drug possession, the police said.

The Macedonian man aged 35 was arrested in connection with the aggravated possession of cocaine, it added.

On Friday at 9pm, while the police were conducting surveillance in St Julian's in connection with this case, the suspect was spotted on Triq il-Wilga and was arrested. He was taken to the police station and 62 packets allegedly containing cocaine were found. Further searches at his residents in St Paul's Bay and his vehigle resulted in more objects related to drugs being found, police said.
