Jack Grealish reveals he IS keen to do I'm A Celeb in response to Ant and Dec

Manchester City and England star Jack Grealish WANTS to head into the I'm A Celebrity jungle.

But he won't risk the wrath of Pep Guardiola by going anywhere near the current season of the hit ITV show.

There is little football influence in the jungle this year - Wayne Rooney 's wife Colleen the closest fans have got to a Premier League star. But with Grealish keen to get involved, I'm a Celeb bosses are facing a dream scenario - even though he admits himself he won't be a big help with many of the tasks.

In a video shared on their Twitter account, host Declan Donnelly said: "Jack Grealish. What do you about Jack Grealish for next year?" Colleague Ant McPartlin replied: "I think Jack Grealish will be very, very good."

Dec then pulled out his phone with a video of Grealish and said: "I asked Jack Grealish whether he would do the show. I said people have been suggesting him. And this is what he said..."

39-time England international Grealish said: "Hey guys, Jack here. I’ve heard that a few of you guys want to see me in the jungle. I can’t lie, it is something that I’d absolutely love to do. It’s a show that I’ve watched, you know, for years since I was little. And, yeah, a show that I love.

"I don’t know how I’d get on in there. I don’t think I’d be the best, to be honest, but yeah I’d give it a go. Obviously not this year. I don’t think Pep (Guardiola) would be too happy if I ended up in there this year. But, you know, never say never could happen one day."

Ant could barely believe his ears and said: "Oh my god. Jack Grealish! We love you Jack," before him and Dec then broke into a rendition of: "We love you Grealish, we do."

There have been a number of footballing stars to swap their shinpads for explorer boots throughout the show's tenure. Ex-Lioness Jill Scott won the series back in 2022, while Harry Redknapp has also been crowned King of the Jungle.

Ex-Premier League footballers Jimmy Bullard, Kieron Dyer, Wayne Bridge, Dennis Wise, Ian Wright and David Ginola have all been members of the cast. Former Arsenal star Wright recently attempted to nudge Manchester United icon Roy Keane in the direction of the jungle. Speaking on ITV, he said: "I think he [Keane] should go in.

"My friends James Haskell and Nadine Coyle went in and it was the greatest things that has happened to them. Other than that, not a lot of sleep and not a lot of food. That’s all I remember."

Keane then had a predictably blunt response. He simply replied: "Not for me."
