Salvini asks why Italians have to pay for WHO

Deputy Premier Matteo Salvini on
Friday asked why Italy had to pay for "inefficient
organisations" like the World Health Organization.

"There is an issue regarding the WHO. Who pays and who is
accountable. There is health and health. We need to see who
finances certain organizations and what are the consequences of
the choices financed by certain organizations," Salvini, who is
also transport minister, said at the 'estates general of health'
organized by his right-wing League party in Milan.

"I, like in a crossword puzzle, say 'connect the dots' and then
we will understand if Italians, with their taxes, have to
maintain inefficient organisations at the service of a few.

"This is a reflection that we will have to make"
