Pedestrian injured after being hit by car

A pedestrian was injured on Thursday morning after he was hit by a car in Cospicua, the police said,

The accident took place in San Gwann t'Ghuxa Street at 6.15am.

The man, aged 71, of Cospicua, was hit by a Kia Picanto driven by a 43-year-old woman of St Paul's Bay.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
