Home Alone star looks unrecognisable as they make catwalk debut aged 58

Kristin Minter, recognised chiefly for playing Heather in the iconic Christmas film 'Home Alone', was barely recognisable as she made a striking debut on the catwalk. The 58-year-old actress turned heads during New York Fashion Week, strutting confidently in the Dennis Basso show adorned in chic cream trousers teamed with a stylish beige and white jumper.

Following her shock announcement that she had been signed by Elite Model Management, eschewing her acting background, Kristin dazzled fans who were quick to praise her stunning look on social media.

Kristin shared her triumphant runway moment on Instagram, exclaiming: "Walking NYFW after 40 years, but I didn't fall! Small victories! Thank you, Dennis Basso, for making me part of your show and new beginnings. #dennisbasso." Admirers poured love on the post, with one fan exclaiming: "You look beautiful!" Others joined in the adoration; one championed her as a "Repping 50+ like a golden goddess."

Another ebulliently cheered her on with emojis, saying: "So proud of you. You look FABULOUS," reports OK!. Another enthused: "So fun! You look like a Queen!"

However, Kristin has previously disclosed that watching herself on screen makes her feel "nauseous," but evidently, she has conquered any timidity and is now embracing the world of fashion modelling.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, she confessed: "I've actually only seen Home Alone - and I wouldn't even say I saw it all the way through - once, at a screening. I remember I went to go and see Goodfellas, which came out right before I went to the screening of Home Alone."

She continued: "I actually had to walk out of the theatre and get some air and stuff and then I remember with Home Alone it was the first screening I'd ever been to of something I was in and as soon as I saw my face, I burst into tears. And I've just never sat down and watched it again. I've seen bits and pieces, but I hate hearing my voice."

Despite her aversion to watching herself on screen, Kristin has had a successful career in television, starring in popular shows like ER, Ray Donovan and Dirt. She received critical acclaim for her role as Miranda 'Randi' Fronczak in ER, which aired from 1994 to 2009.

According to IMDB, her most recent acting credit is the 2022 thriller 7th Secret, where she plays a young wife leading a double life while hiding a secret.
