New Latvian armed forces commander nominated

President Edgars Rinkēvičs said November 21 he is nominating Brigadier General Kaspars Pudāns as the new commander of the National Armed Forces (NBS). The mandate of the current NBS commander, Leonids Kalniņš, expires in January.
